Creating a Hireup Client Account
Sign Up: Start by completing the initial registration page.
- Use this link to sign up as a Client, managing your own account
- Use this link to sign up as an Account Manager for someone else (for parents, friends, etc., managing for someone else)
- Use this link to sign up as a Coordinator for someone else (Support Coordinator, Care Coordinator, other paid capacity roles)
Tip: We recommend you go through the sign-up process on a computer (instead of a phone or tablet) and use the browser ‘Google Chrome’.
Profile Setup: After completing the initial registration page, you will be prompted to complete your profile to help us better understand your support needs. This will also help you find suitable support workers.
This will include:
- Personal details - such as address, date of birth, etc.
- Details regarding the type of support you require
- Profile Picture - which doesn’t need to be a photo of you; it can be of your favourite hobby or pet
-
Funding details / financial information
- NDIS number if you are Agency Managed
- Plan details if you are Plan Managed
- The email address you’d like invoices sent to if you are Self Managed
You will be required to complete a Support Plan, which outlines key information on the way you want and need to be supported, and is a fundamental part of building safe and effective support partnerships.
If you require specialised supports, you may also be required to provide Hireup with additional information about the support you require, to help us facilitate safe support for you and workers. For example, if you require support with Medication Management, Manual Handling or Behaviour Support.
Please note that your Support Plan is only made available to workers you book with. Personal information such as your Date of Birth and Financial Details is not made available to any worker. When organising supports, you will need to provide workers with the address of the supports.
What is an Account Manager?
An Account Manager is the point of contact for all matters relating to Hireup, and is responsible for managing the account.
Account Managers are unpaid supports in a person’s life, such as a family member, friend, or significant other.
An Account Manager supports a Client with managing their Hireup profile. This person manages all aspects of the Hireup platform, including (but not limited to):
- Posting on the Job Board
- Checking and responding to messages with workers
- Creating, reviewing and approving bookings
- Payment of invoices
- Ensuring all information relating to the Client’s support is accurate and up to date
- Communicating with Hireup staff regarding the account and supports on Hireup
Alternatively, an Account Manager can be someone in a paid capacity, such as a Support Coordinator or Care Coordinator. If you’re considering signing up with your Support/Care Coordinator, please ensure you discuss this with them first.
If you would like to invite your Coordinator at a later point in time, you can Co-manage your supports with your Support Coordinator or Care Coordinator.
Support Workers cannot be an Account Manager for the Client they support - this is a conflict of interest.
Do I Need an Account Manager?
If you are under the age of 18, you must have an Account Manager.
If you have a Power of Attorney in place, you must have an Account Manager.
If Hireup determines there are concerns about a Client’s capacity to safely manage their own account, an Account Manager will be necessary. This will be communicated clearly to the relevant parties.
If you feel you need help managing your profile and/or Support Workers, you may benefit from having an Account Manager. You will still have choice and control over who supports you and what supports you receive while using Hireup. An Account Manager is there to help with navigating the Hireup platform.
Linking Multiple Hireup Accounts
Only available on the iOS mobile application and the browser version of the platform. Android mobile application does not support this function.
Every Hireup Client is required to have their own individual profile. However, if you are managing two or more Client profiles (where you are set up as the Account Manager), you may be able to link them all to a nominated Primary email address.
The Primary email address will be used for all linked profiles you manage. The primary account’s email address will also be Hireup’s point of contact for all enquiries and invoices. If your Client account can be linked, Hireup will be able to action this for you.
To check if you’re able to link your Client accounts, please contact our Community Support Team.
A reminder that Client accounts managed by the Client cannot be linked with other Client accounts. Hireup can only link Client accounts that are set up as Account Manager-managed.
Support Worker accounts cannot be linked to any other account.
Once Client accounts have been linked, you will be able to access them via your Primary email address as follows:
-
Log in to Hireup with your Primary email address
- By default, you’ll be taken to the Client Profile that is linked to the Primary account
- Select the Profile Picture (top right-hand corner of your screen)
-
Select ‘Switch Accounts’ from the drop-down menu
- You will not need to log out and back in to switch between Client profiles.
- Select the Profile you wish to access
-
All accounts are still separate when it comes to messaging, searching and booking Support Workers. It is only the login process that has been consolidated.
- You will not need to check several email accounts to stay across the two or more Client profiles that you manage.
