The state where you intend to work will determine the type of state screening(s) you may need to hold. Examples of state screenings are a Working with Children Check or a Working with Vulnerable People Check.
To support people 18 years and over in VIC, you will need to hold NDIS Worker Screening. To support people under the age of 18 in VIC, you will need to meet the above requirements, as well as hold a VIC Working With Children Check (WWCC) for employment purposes. As our Support Workers are paid employees of Hireup, we do not accept volunteer checks.
WWCCs are valid for 5 years. If you need to apply for a WWCC or to update your existing check from volunteer to employment, please contact email@example.com first.
