To assist all support workers to better support people with disability, the NDIS has consulted with the disability sector, NDIS providers and people with disability to develop the Worker Orientation Module: ‘Quality, Safety, and You’. This module is designed to provide workers with an understanding of:
- What the NDIS is and why we need it
- The role of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission
- Worker’s responsibilities under the NDIS Code of Conduct
- Worker’s role in supporting people with disability to achieve the vision of the NDIS
The Worker Orientation module is in compliance with the NDIS Code of Conduct. This is mandatory for all NDIS registered providers, including Hireup. To start your worker module, head to the NDIS website and follow the prompts.
After completing your worker orientation module, you will need to upload this to the document section of your support worker application. If you have already completed your support worker application, please send your certificate of completion to: firstname.lastname@example.org
