Does Hireup pay superannuation?
Yes, Hireup takes care of all payroll duties such as superannuation and tax for our support workers.
You are entitled to superannuation payments. Hireup will pay into your nominated super fund every month. Hireup pay rates are inclusive of superannuation. Excluding super means that the rate shown does not include this entitlement.
Superannuation payments are made monthly by the end of the following month.
Superannuation is money set aside for your retirement and it usually begins when you start working. Our default superannuation fund for you is HESTA but you can nominate your own fund when you apply to work on our platform.
We will contribute a portion of your salary or wages into a super fund for you and we will contribute to your super account at least every three months and a minimum of 11.5% of your ordinary time earnings (note: overtime will not attract any superannuation calculation).

How do I enter my super details?
When you register to become a Support Worker on our platform, we ask for your payment details, including your superannuation details.
Hireup's default superannuation fund for Support Workers is HESTA. If you do not nominate your own fund or provide incorrect details, we will pay your super into HESTA. You can nominate your own fund during the sign-up process.
It is important that you enter the correct Super Product Identification, including the Unique Super Identifier (USI) in the system.
One fund could have multiple products, so be sure to enter the right one for you and you can get this information from your super fund.
As you would tell us if your bank details have changed, it’s important to advise us if your super details have changed too. You can update these details anytime in your profile settings, and you'll need a letter of compliance from your super fund.
To ensure that you get paid on time, update your bank details by midnight on the Sunday before payroll. We make superannuation payments monthly, so update your details as soon as they have changed to ensure a smooth payment process.
When is my Hesta Superfund account created?
You can select the option 'Set Me Up With Hesta' if you do not have a Superfund account or wish to close your other existing Superfund account and set up with Hesta.
Please note that if you already have an active Hesta superfund account with another employer who is contributing your superfunds into the account, or if you wish to continue using your existing superfund account, do not select this option.
Our payroll team will be in contact with you confirming the selection made or may access Australian Taxation Office stapled Super to ensure that you do not have an active superfund account.
Your Hesta account is automatically created after the first super contribution is made by us.
We process Superfund by the 28th of every month, that is, January contributions will be made by the 28th of February.
After your account is created, Hesta will send you your membership details via post to the address listed on your Hireup profile.
You can email payroll@hireup.com.au for your Membership Number if the membership details are not received by the beginning of the following month.
