How many hours can I work in a fortnight?
We know from experience that our Support Workers love being able to arrange their own work through the platform. This includes setting your own hours!
As a Hireup Support Worker, you are welcome to work for other support providers and agencies at the same time, we don’t ask for commitments or require you to sign exclusive contracts. You can use Hireup to organise as few or as many hours of work as you would like.
Our casual Employment Agreement, which you will sign when you register with us, indicates that the minimum shift length on our platform is 1.5 hours and the maximum possible number of hours that you can work in a fortnight is 76 hours.
How to enter timesheets and leave (as a permanent employee )
This section of the article applies only if you are a permanent Hireup Support Worker. You may be eligible if you have worked regular pattern hours over the past 6 months.
You would need to enter manual timesheets for cancelled shifts or any work performed that you should be paid for but do not represent shifts on the platform, this includes:
- All leave requests, annual or personal leave
- Any cancelled shifts which means you do not meet your fortnightly guaranteed hours
- Any idle activities such as performing tasks at our support office
Entering Timesheets
Follow the steps below to enter your timesheets:
- log into to KeyPay : click the ‘clock’ icon on the dashboard to enter timesheets
- Select a date, and then a time
- The “Work type” will be the level you are currently paid and day - i.e. L1 Day, L1 Saturday etc.
- Click on the “pencil icon” to add a reason for the timesheet, e.g. Cancelled Shift and Client name or Idle Time activity
- Submit your timesheet
