Be mindful of unexpected emails, texts and calls
Scams can sometimes be sent as emails, text or messages that look like they're from trusted organisations, such as government agencies, banks or telecommunications providers.
If you receive an unexpected message asking for your personal information, take a moment before responding. Only share your details if you feel confident about who you're communicating with.
When in doubt, contact the organisation directly using contact details you have used before that you know are correct.

Turn on Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security to your online accounts, including your email, banking and social media.. When MFA is turned on, you'll need to verify your identity in a second way, such as through a code sent to your phone, each time you log in.

Keep your devices and software up to date
Make sure you have up-to-date antivirus software installed on any device you use to access your online accounts.
