Overview:
Hireup’s approach to risk management is framed on ensuring that the right people have the right information at the right time. This includes how we document key risk related information, and the controls associated with the delivery of individualised support.
At the individual Client level Hireup’s risk assessment process for Clients begins with Onboarding. During Onboarding we obtain key risk-related information from our Clients or Account Managers where relevant, relating to their specific support needs, and their overall reliance on Hireup to provide individualised support. Depending on a Client’s identified requirements, additional information is collected (e.g. Behavioural Support Plans) that provide additional information and identify additional risks germane to the Client. This information provides an understanding of the risks that may arise from a Client’s specific disability, and supports the identification and implementation of additional controls to ensure the safe provision of services. Collectively the information obtained through Client Onboarding and subsequent engagement is used to continually assess the level of risk related to individual Clients. This means that the assessment of this risk is continuous and ongoing as Client support requirements change.
This document serves to provide an overview of the key risks associated with Support Workers providing support to a Client in home and in community.
This document will be a key input into the Client Risk Assessment and Mitigation Project commencing in Cycle 3 (March - June 2025).
