What are Booking Requests?
We’ve updated the way you make bookings on the Hireup platform to make it easier to fill shifts quickly when you need support. The new booking feature saves you time and reduces back-and-forth messaging with workers.
What's New?
The upgraded booking experience includes:
- Real-time availability visibility: See at a glance whether workers already have another booking at that time, reducing messaging and availability discussions
- Duplicate bookings easily: Quickly recreate similar bookings without starting from scratch each time (excluding Android app)
- Send requests to multiple workers: Invite up to 10 workers to accept any one booking (optional - you can still send to just one worker if you prefer)
Why are Booking Requests useful?
The new Booking Requests feature enables you to fill bookings faster, which is especially useful for cancellations and last-minute changes.
Booking Requests also mean:
- Less admin: Booking requests reduce the back-and-forth discussions about availability. Now, you can see who’s available in real-time, and send one request to receive quick responses from workers in your team.
- Minimal disruptions: When a worker cancels or you need a booking filled last-minute, Booking Requests help fill them quickly and easily.
- Keeping your support on track: Booking requests help maintain stable routines for clients with complex or high-frequency support needs, even when plans change.
- More choice, more control: You choose who receives each request and view when workers are already booked, giving you flexibility and confidence in planning
Things to note
- If a Booking Request has been sent to more than 1 worker (optional), only one worker can accept each Booking Request
- If you would like to send a Booking Request to more than 1 worker, you can select a maximum of 10 workers per Booking Request
- Some workers may need to update their app to access and respond to Booking Requests
