The Hireup community ranked ‘reviews and recommendations’ as a highly requested feature via a survey. From the survey, we learnt that clients want to give credit to support workers they love working with. In a separate survey, we found 87% of workers we surveyed were happy about or didn't mind the idea of recommendations and reviews.
It’s important to note that recommendations and reviews are not a rating system. They’re a way for clients to provide positive feedback and highlight support worker’s key strengths.
How do recommendations and reviews work?
Clients can leave feedback for their support workers once they’ve completed their first booking.
- After completing a booking with a support worker, clients will have the option to leave a recommendation and review that can be seen publicly. Clients can choose to post anonymously or with their first name and profile photo attached.
- Clients can only give feedback once per support worker, this can be after the first (or any) booking.
- After a recommendation and review has been published, it cannot be edited.
- Clients can recommend their support worker for a number of reasons, and can select from a drop-down list of options including: accurate profile, punctuality, safe driver etc. They’ll also have the option to leave open text written feedback.
- Clients can also select not to provide feedback, if they wish. They’ll be able to tell Hireup via the platform if they want to raise any concerns.
Negative reviews will not be featured, but instead sent to Hireup’s trust and safety team who’ll connect with the client and support worker to support them with any difficulties they’re experiencing. Hireup will analyse negative feedback patterns to understand if there are situations we need to address.
How do recommendations and reviews appear on support worker profiles?
- Once a recommendation and review is submitted, it will appear on the support worker’s profile for that worker and all clients to access
- A recommendation and review will appear under the ‘Community feedback’ section of a support worker’s profile
- Any recommendation and/or review support workers don’t want to show can be removed anytime by the support worker. Note: once feedback is removed, it cannot be retrieved.
- Recommendations aren't going to make any worker’s profile look bad - even by comparison
