If you are supporting someone who requires specialised support, you will be able to access their relevant (specialised) support plans via the Hireup support plan on their profile. Examples of specialised support plans could include epilepsy management, tube feeding or behaviour management plans.
To ensure that you’re well equipped to provide safe and effective support, you’ll need to read and understand all specialised support plans. It’s important to read these plans before your shift to ensure you have time to ask questions to the person you’re supporting if anything isn’t clear.
The plans will remain available to you as long as you are in the person’s support team, which means you can access them at any time. It is important to review them regularly, to ensure you are staying up to date with their support requirements.
If you are unable to access these plans, or something doesn’t seem right, it is important to speak to the person you are supporting, or their account manager. If you still require assistance, contact Hireup on (02) 9113 5933 or hello@hireup.com.au.
Please note: the specialised support plans are private and confidential and are not to be shared with anyone else.
