All of our valued support workers are direct employees of Hireup - we take care of your pay, tax, superannuation contributions and insurance.
Below is some important information on how and when you will get paid for bookings made on Hireup, please be sure to have a read.
Hireup Pay Cycle
Hireup pays support workers fortnightly. Shifts need to be submitted (by you) and approved (by the person you supported) prior to 11.59pm on Sundays to be accounted for in the next pay period.
Support workers are paid when a shift has been booked, worked and approved through our online platform.
Hireup Casual Loading
As a Hireup support worker employed on a casual basis, you are paid 25% casual loading as part of your base hourly wage. This is in lieu of certain entitlements relevant to permanent employees under the National Employment Standards, including (but not limited to) annual leave, personal or sick leave.
Here's more information about Hireup's casual loading payments.
Your Bank Details
Please ensure that your bank account details are entered correctly and always up to date on Hireup, so that you get paid each pay period and it lands in the correct account.
Your Super Fund
Be sure to elect a super fund of your choice and provide us with the relevant details. Electing a provider (and their performance) is not the responsibility of Hireup. If you don’t nominate a fund, we will automatically open an account on your behalf with HESTA.
Super is only paid if you earn more than $450 (gross) in a calendar month with Hireup.

Hireup Weekend Rates
For all hours worked on weekends, you are paid a penalty loading at time and a half (on Saturday) or double time (on Sunday) - penalty loading is calculated on the base rate.
