It is now a requirement for all active Hireup support workers to complete Hireup’s first three training modules, Working with Purpose, Working Safely and Preventing Abuse and Neglect. You are required to complete the training on a weekday between 6am - 8pm, in a one hour block. From today, after completing these modules, you will be paid for one hour at the weekday Hireup Level 1 rate in the next fortnight.
Where can I find and complete the required training?
The required training will become available once you accept an upcoming booking. To complete the training simply click through to the Hireup learning page and complete the three required training modules: ‘Working With Purpose, ‘Working Safely’ and ‘Preventing Abuse and Neglect.’
Why are these training modules required?
It is now a requirement to complete Hireup’s first three training modules. This is so that all active workers can provide safe, effective support, while giving them the tools to navigate their way around the platform and community with confidence.
Giving support workers a 30 day timeframe to complete the required training is our way of staying true to this commitment.
What are the required training modules?
There are three required training modules:
- Working With Purpose: Learn about the NDIS and your role in providing effective and individualised support to the people you work with.
- Working Safely: Learn about safe and effective support, preventing and responding to abuse and neglect, and tips for your own health and wellbeing.
- Preventing Abuse and Neglect: Learn about our zero tolerance approach to abuse and neglect, and understand your role as a support worker in preventing, responding to and reporting abuse and neglect.
How long is the designated period to complete the required training and when does it come into effect for me?
Support workers with a confirmed future shift already booked with Hireup will begin their 30 day period to complete the required training. Support workers who don’t have a shift booked in the system will have their 30 day period commence the moment they confirm their booking. What happens if the training isn’t completed within the designated time period?
If you don’t complete the required training within the designated time period, restrictions will be placed on your account. These restrictions will allow you to view existing messages and bookings but will not allow you to accept new bookings. These restrictions will be lifted once you complete the required training. You will have to log out and back in again after you complete training in order for the restrictions to be lifted. How much will I be paid?
Once you have completed the required training, you will be paid for one hour at the weekday Hireup Level 1 rate in the next fortnight. Applicable tax will be included. You are required to complete the training on a weekday between 6am - 8pm, in a one hour block.

How do I tell Hireup that I have completed these modules?
Once you have completed the three required modules, our system will pick this up and ensure you are paid in the next fortnightly pay run and that restrictions will not be placed on your account. You will have to log out and back in again after you complete the training, in order for the restrictions to be lifted. If you do not receive payment within a fortnight of completing the training please contact us.
I completed the training after-hours / on the weekend. Can I be paid that rate?

No, these modules have been designed to flow on from one another:
- Working with Purpose
- Working Safely
- Preventing Abuse and Neglect
What about the other non-required modules on the Hireup learning page?
Below the three required training modules there are two other non-required training modules: Insights into Behaviour and Positive Behaviour Support. These two modules are optional, additional learning modules. These modules are not required and are not paid.
What happens if I don’t know the answers to some of the quiz questions in the Hireup Learning modules?
If a question is answered incorrectly, you will be able to select a new answer.
