Hireup support workers do not wear uniforms, however workers should ensure they wear appropriate clothing to each shift. It’s important that both you and the person you’re supporting feel safe and comfortable. It’s always best to check in to understand what the shift will entail and to ensure you are dressed appropriately. If you’re unsure about what to wear, have a conversation with the person you’re supporting.
Things to consider:
- Will I need to wear closed in shoes?
- Will I need to bring wet weather gear?
- Are there tasks that will require gloves? If so, who is supplying these?
- Will I feel comfortable?
- Will the person I support feel comfortable?
