The state where you will work determines the type of state screening(s) you may need to hold. Examples of state screenings are a Working with Children Check or a Working with Vulnerable People Check.
To support people under the age of 18 in NSW, you will need to hold a NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) for employment purposes. As our support workers are paid employees of Hireup, we do not accept volunteer checks.
You may also need the NDIS Worker Screening, depending on the issue date of your WWCC. You can determine whether you’ll need the NDIS Worker Screening here.
WWCCs are valid for 5 years. You can apply for a WCC, or to update your existing check from volunteer to employment here.
