The state where you intend to work will determine the type of state screening(s) you may need to hold. Examples of state screenings are a Working with Children Check or a Working with Vulnerable People Check.
To support people in Queensland you will need to hold the following, depending on the age group you want to support:
- If you want to support people over 18 years of age only, you will need to hold an NDIS Worker Screening or a Yellow Card issued before the 1st of February, 2021.
- If you want to support someone under 18 years of age only, you will need to hold a Paid Blue Card issued before the 1st of February, 2021 or hold a Paid Blue Card issued after the 1st of February, 2021 and an NDIS Worker Screening.
- If you want to support people of all ages, you will need to hold both a Paid Blue Card and an NDIS Worker Screening, or, a Paid Blue Card and Yellow Card both issued before the 1st of February, 2021.
As our Support Workers are paid employees of Hireup, we cannot accept a Volunteer Blue and/or Yellow Card.
Please do not apply for these screenings on your own. If you need to apply for any of these screenings, contact firstname.lastname@example.org prior to applying. Depending on the screenings you require, you may be able to apply for two at one time. If you already have these screenings as a result of alternative employment, please forward this on to our team.
