The state where you intend to work will determine the type of state screening(s) you may need to hold. Examples of state screenings are a Working with Children Check or a Working with Vulnerable People Check.
To support people 18 years and over in WA, you will need to hold an NDIS Worker Screening. To support people under the age of 18 in WA, you will need to meet the above requirements, as well as hold a WA Working With Children Check (WWCC) for employment purposes. As our Support Workers are paid employees of Hireup, we do not accept volunteer checks.
WWCCs are valid for 3 years. To apply for a WWCC or to update your existing check from volunteer to employment, please contact email@example.com first as Hireup will need to be part of the WWCC application process.
Please do not apply for the NDIS Worker Screening on your own. If you need to apply for this screening, contact firstname.lastname@example.org prior to applying. If you already have these screenings as a result of alternative employment, please forward this on to our team.
